Does anyone get vertigo without the fullness, tinitus and Hearing loss that typically precede? If so, is that considered mm?
Yes. I have constant tinnitus. It doesn't get louder during an attack. My hearing is fine during an attack too. But I have lost a lot of hearing in my mm ear. My doctor says I have mm.
I have constant tinnitus in my right ear. It does not or does just a bit during a vertigo attack. But, during an attack, I get tinnitus in my left ear, that fades away in a few days after the attack. I have no hearing loss, no fullness. Neurological examination during one of the episodes showed that my right vestibular sense had been malfunctioning. Therefore my neuroENT started to call my condition MM.
I don't get symptoms together I get mild vertigo When ears feel perfect before and after vertigo I get fluctuating hearing loss fullness and tinitus That comes and goes alone without vertigo I was thinking Vertigo was from thyroid issues maybe I have Cochlear hydrops
I also have constant tinnitus in my right ear ( the Lipoflavoids def help with the reduction of the "noise") - The fullness in my ear is low when I feel ok - leading up to an attack it gets worse and the ringing gets louder -- I know then that I have to get some rest as soon as possible -- that usually staves off an attack.... I haven't had one in 8 months- Came pretty close about 4 weeks ago - I would call it a 9 on a scale of 1-10 - 10 being laying on the bathroom floor puking - this one was spinning and a bucket next to the bed - but I took a valium and laid down just in time and never threw up -- I napped for about 3 hours and felt much better when I got up.
I typically get bad fullness and loss of hearing right before an attack. Then, when my hearing comes back, i get my vertigo. At least I get a little forewarning, usually.
For me, ear pressure, ringing and hearing loss can be there 24/7 but not necessarily have a vertigo attack. But I have never had a full vertigo attack where the ear pressure, ringing and hearing loss was not in place and/or slightly worse than normal.
I have the fullness, tinnitus, and hearing loss all the time. Some days I feel a little dizzier than others but no vertigo attacks. Seems this syndrome hits everyone differently. That said, you could be having a non-meniere's issue. MAV or BPPV come to mind.
but in addition to fullness and hearing loss my tinnitus gets loud too before an attack. But thank Goodness haven't had an attack in almost 3 years thanks to acyclovir.
Tmahon2, I get all the symptoms but not Together maybe there's another issue going On as you say my symptoms are usually Dizzy on and off along and some days no dizziness but Just ear problems. It really is different For so many of us
