Just a compliant in general...Since 2002, The AIED has gotten worse to worser (is that a word)? Anyway I now not only use my walker when I go out but when I'm around the house too. Holding onto walls and cabinets just aint working for me anymore. I do have the Zanax to help with helps to calm the nerves in the ears and even within my body but it doesn't stop it. I don't want to ask the doctor for more miligrams cause it will only become more addicted to it trhan I am now. I can't drive (doctor took away that privilige) and now depend on friends, family and Kitsap transit to get me here and there. I'm so lucky to have them and they ask if I need tp gp anywhere so I don't (usually) feel so guilty with their helping me so much. I'm just so sick of it...boo, hoo, hoo...
Hi holly sorry things suck for you. I hope you find some relief soon. There are many folks in here that have been able to become functional again thanks to valacyclovir. Me included
I am sorry that things are not going well. For what it's worth, it may be an option to talk to your dr about an alternative to Zanax. Perhaps that is not the right fit for you, perhaps your body is not getting full benefit from it. There are so many options out there I would try others - definitely try alternatives before simply increasing the dose. Also during a 4 week period a year or so ago where I was constantly off balance, I remembered meclizine (which was given to me for full vertigo attack but did nothing). I took that and it almost immediately helped my dizzy/off balance hard to walk issues. Not sure if you have tried that but it may be worth another shot? It is available generic over the counter, and pretty low cost. Some say that it makes them very tired but I didn't have that big of an issue - perhaps being able to walk made me so happy it overrode the tired?! LOL
