Is this symptom a part of it all?

Ever since Wednesday I have been having a new twist to symptoms and wondered if anyone else experienced this as well.
All of a sudden my ear will get extremely full (more than the constant fullness I always have). Then my balance goes. It is so bad I can't walk or move my head. Because it feels so terrible to move my head I think vertigo is starting, but it doesn't.
It is not vertigo cause the room isn't spinning. It seems like meclizine seems to help it enough so that I can hobble around once it takes effect.
Typically when my ear gets really full, I get vertigo.
I guess if I had a choice I would take this instead as it is a bit less incapacitating.
Does anyone have anything similar? I haven't had vertigo since this has been happening. It has happened at least once a day. It is very scary because it is coming on much quicker than the vertigo.....like a 1 min warning vs the 10 or so with vertigo. I feel I shouldn't drive. Ugh.
I would appreciate any information My best to all!

From what I can remember from 2009 just before my vertigo stopped I had different experiences with the beast. Instead of spinning vertigo and vomiting I had up and over mini vertigo almost as though my body was doing somersaults. It was very short maybe 3 seconds with no vomiting.

This stopped after a couple of weeks. It was as though the vertigo and vomiting was saying goodbye. My hearing had gone almost completely in my left ear but with one ear still okay I was happy to settle for one good ear and no vertigo.

That's when my remission started, I hope the same happens for you, without the hearing loss of course.

This is pretty much what I've been experiencing since starting Betahistine over a year ago. I did have one big vertigo attack last weekend but let's call that an anomaly -- I had been having a terrible ear day and on top of it exposed myself to way too many triggers (huge dose of caffeine, and two dinners out in restaurants in a row). Anyway, my suspicion on the extreme-fullness-then-very-dizzy thing is that some or all of the pressure is being released (which previously would have triggered vertigo) but instead it is resolving without the huge drama. It's still really uncomfortable and difficult, but not as debilitating as real vertigo, IMO.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately last night the dizziness morphed into the worst vertigo attack I've had in a long time. I guess there's just no figuring this thing out. I'm trying to convince myself that this is the Valtrex killing the virus!!
PleaseNoDizzy you are a brave soul. Piling all those triggers on at once! So sorry it didn't turn out well.
