Good luck Muff! Personally I don't think that being off the av for a week would set you "all" the way back. I think back on the load dose it should pick up quickly.
Thanks for your thoughts, Nicmger. I am hoping that it will kick in a bit faster. Yesterday, I did have a vertigo episode but of course, I had only been on the av for a day and half. I hope yesterdays episode is the last for awhile.
Muff- I have been on valacyclovir for a year now and I still take 2,000 mgs per day. I have been vertigo, brain fog and aural fullness free for almost 10 minutes months. Before the Valacyclovir kicked in I was in hell for seven months with all the above symptoms. I still have to stay on a 2.000 mgs per day to keep the symptoms at bay. Call around and find a GP that will write you a longer prescription
