I've always loved the Newfoundland. They're big loveable dogs. They're great with children too.Too bad I haven't seen any around here, but when I worked in Mamaroneck,N.Y.the owners son had one.It took up the whole backseat of his sports car.
Siberian Huskys. If you read how the breed came to be it's fascinating. There's also a movie called 50 below that really shows how the breed interacts, etc. They LOVE people and children.definatly not a guard dog. They dig. They're escape artists and they're fast. But they can be the most lovable pets you'll ever own. They are very, very smart dogs as well
Beagles are extremely loving, loyal and funny as heck! They adore children, love people and other dogs and make you laugh everyday with their silly antics. I can't imagine my life w/o one.
Lhasas tend to be nervous and sickly Jack Russell's are awesome but require attention, they are very active Labs and goldenseal are great, too, but again they need lots of room.
I love Goldens my golden that we have now is 14 years old and I adore him. Also love labs and germans. We did rescue a Samoyed mix and I couldn't stand her at first she drove me nuts but it was because she was so abused. Once she knew she was here to stay she settled down and has been such a joy but she so verbal.. not barking but talkative.... grunts growls and humpfs its is so fun!
I like cats too, more so than dogs.Dogs tend to howl a lot and bark loudly.Cats are so quiet, have beautiful soft fur and have beautiful faces.
I volunteer for beagle rescue orgs for 16 years now. I also built a website for a new non profit that help dog's with Cushings Disease.
I dunno I have a Golden and my kids pull and beat it up and he lays there until he has enough gets up and moves but when someone he doesn't know comes near them he gets tough and protective.
