Johan, look at the trend. If the trend is in the right direction, disregard setbacks. It will get better and better amd setbacks smaller and farther apart.

This is great news Johan! Truly happy for you.

Are you still taking antivirals? If so since when and in what dosage?

    Another update!

It has been an awful autumn. Both my mother and my father in law
passed away, only two weeks apart.
Speaking only of Menieres related problems my hearing just went south after all this.
I have been taking 3000 mg Valaciklovir for a while just to try repressing the fullness and hearing loss. Vertigo spells have been short, only mini-spins but they too aren't very nice.

I am so uncertain of how to dose. My prescription says 1000 mg a day but I feel that it is not enough sometimes?

    Hi Johan

I have no problem bumping back up during times of stress or illness. If you're still having mini spins, I would go back to 3000 a day until you're symptom free. Then taper back to find your own personal maintenance dose.

But then I run out of pills... I only get a few packages per prescription. I tried to get more but the pharmacist wouldn't let me buy them before a certain date. So then I had none - which did just nothing for my recovery...I guess I'll have to talk to my Dr again. I have just renewed the prescription online for a year now.

Take Gacek's paper to your doctor and ask for extended high dose until the symptoms stop?

Hello everyone! It's been almost a year since I
Posted here. I wasn't able to get more valaciklovir.
    My doctor wouldn't prescribe more.
So I was left with nothing and I felt how the symptoms
    was creeping back. :(

But then, suddenly betaserc was made available in Sweden
under a new name, Vertisan. That, and the fact that I worked as
a builder this summer ( I sat in front of a computer for years), so I really got
My body going, working hard every day made me feel better again.
Now, I'm back in front of the computer. And so is the fullness.

Maybe I should quit my work, huh? Be some sort of handyman och a
janitor or something else more free and active? :)

Lifestyle changes seem to be part of the Meniere’s journey.

    Bon voyage.

It could be that your desk job is more stressful. Stress is a MAJOR trigger for me.
