I have not been on in a while as my life has pretty much returned to normal since I had the laby several months ago.

Since my laby I have gotten a promotion at work, I work as a physical therapist. I have taken 2 cruises, gone snow skiing and returned to swimming laps at the YMCA as well as leading a class of water aerobics for my physical therapy clinic.

As have so many others have said, I wish I had opted for the laby sooner rather than gone through what I went through with this disease, I suffered major depression and developed an anxiety disorder because fear gripped every aspect of my life.

A very special thanks to Hurricaneone, Bulldogs, Redwing, Bumblebea and the many others who shared their experiences and encouragement with me on this forum. It is truly a very special place with special people.

As my life has returned to normal and menieres has become a thing of the past for me I just wanted to let people know to never give up and always know if I did it you can too.

    Lots of love
    Trisha

That's great news. I would probably continue taking antivirals just to keep it from going bilateral.

Trisha I am very happy for you . I hope you have a full and exciting life. I have told many of our brothers and sisters the same thing that you have said here and many have followed. I think that it is our responsibility to pass our experience along to others so that maybe they want suffer as long as I did. Now I am not saying that everyone should not try whatever is available, just know that there is a fix if you are uni-lateral . As always I want to thank all my family on this forum that helped me through the menieres nightmare. By the way I finished third in our club championship this year with one balance nerve . I dont even miss that old damaged nerve now. Good Luck to everyone

Not just unilater but bilateral. Bulldogs mentioned that AKJim had bilateral menieres and got both balance nerves destroyed and he's having a good life, travelling everywhere etc, unless I misunderstood.

I am so new to this Meniere's thing--just 1 1/2 years. I recently found this site and I'm learning so much. I have been going to a chiropractor for 1 1/2 years and have found it helpful but doesn't totally relieve my pressure. I'm not on diuretic yet, but I think at my next appt. in February that will be the next step. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and watch my salt intake. This year has been worse than last, but also last year I exercised and this year not so much. I just started JOH regime. My questions to you are - How long have you had Meniere's and How long did you wait to get this procedure done?
