Hey all, you have some good ideas for stocking stuffers for 3 boys ages 12, 10, 9 and 1 girl age 10? I want something different this year. Seems like I spend a shit load of $$ on just that.. shit for the stockings. Trying to get some item that are unique. Any thoughts??
My daughter age 10 last year when we did stockings I gave her crochet needle and a ball of yarn she jumped on you tube and was crocheting before the end of the day. I also gave them a pack of Pepperidge farm pepperoni my kids love it. I got my boys magnifying glasses from harbor freight and some tools they also have wood dino put togethers there and wood air planes too. Harbor freight some pretty cool gadgets for boys and mens stockings now that I think about it.
Electric toothbrushes are great. You're also replacing and getting a new one every year. Boys- a cool t-shirt rolled up, small toy figures, collector card packages Girls- leotards, nail polish, lip gloss, slippers
I've come to the conclusion it's all shit. I told my wife next year I am getting one big family gift and then each kid is getting 100.00 gift cards to each of their 5 favorite stores. I told the Chief on the phone last night "do they really need anothe nerf gun" at some point this insanity has to stop. I have so many Lego sets I could almost open up a used Lego store. It's rediculous and only getting worse with each passing year. It's the iPhone, ipad, I deserve generation and it won't end well.
I really appreciated everyone's input. I ended up rolling up athletic socks for each of them, a rubics cube, ice breakers, which they love and some other candy they like. That was it, I did not spend a ton of money on stockings and very happy about that so thanks all! I agree 100% with BD, this shit has to stop. My grand kids received so many presents it should be against the law! I am going the money route next year. One special gift to open and then a certain amount of money for their college funds. I am done with just buying for the sake of them having something under the tree. Between their parents, 2 sets of grandparents, aunts and uncle well you all know what I am getting at. It is outrageous!! Remind me next year please that I have written this and need to stick by it. Thanks all :-*
