Who here takes high-dose Vitamin C? I currently am taking about 15g per day, and have been for years. Lately, though, i've been reading that most of the C in the world is processed in China. We all know how bad China is at quality control. Do you buy your C from a place other than China? Can you share that info with me? TIA.

I buy Vitamin C - 1000 from Vitacost, recommended on the JOH regime.

While some here have found mm relief with C, I have not. However, it helps tremendously with preventing colds and flu that wreak havoc on my ears.

I am on a diet to reduce my triglycerides this week which includes no sugar and low carbs. I have started taking high doses of Vit. C along with JOH. I feel better after 3 days than I have in months. My ear fullness is a lot less.
I am also seeing an upper cervical chiropractor which I think is helping.
I ordered betahistine from Canada and should get it in a week.
My question. Should I still ask for antivirals from the ENT today??? I would much rather uses supplements.
    Feedback please. :)

Personally, i'd much rather use antivirals than supplements. Only one pill and it clearly works for about 90% of patients who have failed every other treatment. Supplements are hit or miss guesswork.

I use both JOH and AVs (unfortunately still have dizziness). As long as you're seeing the Dr anyway I would get a script for AVs even if you hold off using them for awhile.

Could you tell me how much vitamin C you are taking. I only take 1000 mg daily and have thought about increasing for awhile to see if that makes any difference.

I personally would push for the anti-virals. Lots of people have success and at the very least it gives you an "option".

According to Dr. Cathcart, Vitamin C is only effective if you are taking at least 80% of the bowel tolerance dose. See the graph in this article.

    http://www.vitamincfoundation.org/www.orthomed.com/titrate.htm

The amount listed in JOH is not nearly enough to have any effect.
