Speaking about being raped,I think every time we bring our cars in for service many times the service writer will find something wrong. But do they really find something wrong or are they just trying to drum up some new business? A few weeks ago I took my car in for service. The service writer said my engine was leaking oil.I asked him where is it leaking oil.He said he didn't know.He said the guy in the back who changed my oil said my engine was leaking oil. This left a bad impression on me.I paid for the service and drove out. I asked my friend Ingrid about this, she said many cars especially older cars leak oil.She said carry a bottle or 2 bottles of oil, check the oil once in awhile and when it's low fill it up. When a service writer says something is wrong, ask questions.Don't simply shake your head or agree to what he says. After all any engine work could be very costly. As consumers we don't know if what auto mechanics are doing or just jacking up the price for unwarranted repairs.
