Actually, Monsieur Meniere did not assign his name to the disease he first described. It and has been rather common practice in medicine to name diseases and conditions for the people who first described them; as with Alzheimer's Disease, by a German Herr Doctor Alzheimer. --John of Ohio
Add my name to the list of very thankful people! Ray, for kindly sharing this site with all of us so we don't have to suffer in silence. John and Vicki for helping me through my 'marathon' run with MM. John helped me get to the finish line and Vicki helped me cross it and for that I am very, very grateful. Every single person at this forum is a hero in their own way. Whether it's by generously sharing information like Ray, John and Vicki and so many others have done or by offering encouragement to someone who is going through their own personal hell or by cheering on someone who has accomplished something that was very difficult for them to do. And then there are the heroes who fight and struggle to get through every day the best way they can while tending to their families, still working a full time job, taking care of aging loved ones etc. You're all to be commended for the huge amount of effort, determination and heart it takes to live day in and day out with this horrid disease. My apologies, I kind of strayed off subject a bit but again thank you Ray, Vicki and John for all you contribute (and will no doubt continue to contribute) to this forum. I applaud each and every one of you. My most heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Lulu ♥
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum in any way, shape or form. The most important thing I get from it is the comfort from knowing that I'm not alone in this.
