I need some help. I live in the Panama City Florida area and I have had Menieres Disease for 29 years. I have lost all hearing in my right ear. I had gentimiacin drops in my ear but had an allergic reaction. Bad experience. I have dizzy spells every day but had a severe attack a few weeks ago. I am weary from dealing with this disease. I take valium when i have a bad spell and my Nurse Practitioner just started me on a water pill. I am very limited with ENt's in this area. Any suggestions on where to go or have I done all that can be done for this terrible disease? Exhausted, tired and weary. Thank Terry
Many people found relief from antivirals, there is plenty info about them here. The John of Ohio's regimen also shows a high success rate. I follow both, and have been vertigo free for more than a year.
I agree with Serbian, give antivirals a try I have been symptoms free for 3 yes due to acyclovir and I have MM for 50 years, which shows its never too late to get relief. Check out the links in my signature and show your Dr, Dr Gacek's study on antivirals and Meniere's page 104 has the doses. Many doctors refuse to write a script for antivirals to treat MM. If you are near the Tampa Bay Balance Cente rin Florida they have the same success rate with antivirals as Dr Gacek. You may want to look into going there.
