When I get cold sores, the thing that works to heal them the fastest is by dabbing some Spirit of Camphor liquid onto it directly. I wish it could somehow be beneficial to Meniere's but can't as it is applied topically and can't be ingested. Something interesting- when my husband had his first Meniere's attack last November it was while I was battling a cold sore on my lip for like a month that was changing locations on my mouth. He also gets cold sores but it's just interesting that his vertigo attacks began when the virus was present on me.
That is interesting. I never get cold sores, but I did have the chicken pox, so I know it's lurking somewhere.
Cold sores and chicken pox are different viruses but both in the human herpes family. Almost everyone has numerous herpes viruses dormant in their bodies. We acquire them as children, usually getting no symptoms but acquire an immunity then. It would be rare for an adult not to have antibodies to numerous human herpes viruses according to my doctor. In fact to read mid adulthood and not have antibodies to some of these may be indicative of an inability to maintain the immunity normally confered by exposure. So yes, you almost certainly have som of these in your bosy as we all do.
