I know these audiogram results fluctuate, especially with beginning Meniere's, but we really needed some good news. After a month with like 5 different audiograms looking like the top one- indicating low-freq losses in the 40-50 dB range, we were so surprised to see this improvement today. My husband has had 2 steroid shot injections into the ear drum, 2 courses of oral steroids, and has been on JOH regimine and Valtrex 3x/day for 4 weeks now. Top is a few weeks ago, bottom is today.
I just wanted to add that if it weren't for this message board, I wouldn't have been able to get through these past couple of weeks.
So happy. From what I heard the earlier a/v are started the more likely for them to work and potentially restore some hearing. So happy for you.
Wonderful! I also got some hearing back from AVs. It really has made life easier. Sure is nice to see those improved numbers isn't it?
