For those on antivirals...when the pollen gets to you do you just feel like you "could" have vertigo but it never comes? I have had several minispins and an off and on plugged ear. I am a little imbalanced but I still can go in stores and ride in the car. Just feel woozy. Wondering if anyone else feels like this? I haven't made it through a March-April- May in the last 3 years with face down horrible attacks. I am hoping this year, my first spring on avs, that I make it. We have had some rain come through too so maybe it is barometric pressure. Any input would be helpful!
I think you have what I have. I could be wrong. I have been wrong before ; ;D I was wrong about valacyclovir manufacturer. Roxane. But, more on that later. I had just celebrated my one year anniversary of being Vetigo Free. Whoooohooo!!! That was Feb 23. A week later I had to get a refill of Vala. And the pharmacy had switched manufacturers. This is the same time I started feeling everything you described. Here in Tallahassee we had a warm winter and early Spring. I live in a national forest with millions of oak trees and pines. These trees have been spewing pollen for the last 50 days and they are still spewing. I blamed my feelings, which sound just like yours, on the switching of manufacturers of Vala. But, it's not their product at all which was causing me to feel all the same symptoms you are having. ( I was going to apologize to Roxane tonight but, I saw your thread first.) I am now taking Flonase and generic Claritin d. I still get those same feelings that you do. Sometimes it feels like I might go into vertigo. But, it doesn't happen?! "Heh!?, did I just reject those feelings (symptoms) without really knowing HOW I rejected them!? What just happened?!" A year ago that feeling would have gone into Vertigo..
santa and gardengal, allergy season can be brutal on Meniere's symptoms. remember to increase the dose of antivirals until the season is over. and if needed take allergy meds. Both will help keep the virus suppressed. Allergies weaken the immune system and even if one has tested negative for allergies but your MM symptoms flare up chances are you do have seasonal allergies. Those tests can give false negatives. Glad you are doing better Santa and good luck gardengal.
Thank you two for responding. I feel encouraged to read your responses. I have been so anxious! Only another month for the pollen I think! Thanks for your help! Love this forum.
