There are a lot of things you can do while seated in your chair with soup cans and water bottles as weights. Google some youtube videos and I think you will find something that works for you.

I hope you feel better soon.

Ran 3.5 miles and did some TRX and body-weight at the gym early this morning. It's pouring rain now so I'm glad I didn't wait till evening.

Have fun today no matter what you choose to do. Smile often :)

Karen, the elliptical is a good idea. You will have something to hang onto and that will give you the confidence you need to work out. I hope you give it your best shot. I belive exercise is what got me through the bad days, I kid you not. I had days when I thought I would have to crawl on my hands and knees to get to the gym, but I did it and always felt so much better. Keep positive and you will do fine.

I love Pilates. I have one of the best instructors. She is hard core. After an hour with her you know you have worked out. Good for you, did you enjoy the class?

Yes I loved it. I've done it many times in the past but hadn't been in the last 6 months. Will probably go again tonight with my friend.

    ^^ LOL!

It's not that difficult really. You just have to work out consistently.

I'm headed to the gym in a few minutes. Today is only lifting day followed by an hour of Yoga. The weather is great. We're going to spend a couple of hours at the pool this afternoon with another couple and their kid.

Enjoy your Saturday peeps. Make an effort, even a small one, to do something healthy for your body and mind.

Happy Monday! Hope you all have a healthy week. I've been going to town on all the fresh fruits and vegetables summer has brought us. I have two days where I'm 100% vegetarian since there is so much yummy stuff.

Worked out early this morning. Went on a 2.5 mile run and then lifted weights at the gym. I gave myself the gift of a personal trainer! I start with him next week. I told him exactly what I wanted and what my goals are. He said I'm already in place where I can hit the road running and is looking forward to making my work out programs. I'm so excited!

Stay cool if it's hot where you are. Drink plenty of water. Take a nap if you can. Go for a walk, a jog, a bike ride, do some stretching or yoga or sit on a big ball to work your core. Do something. MOVE. It helps so much with managing chronic illness.

Think happy thoughts. Whatever you may be struggling with know that you have the strength to overcome it. Dig deep.

    Muah Muah!

Hello my friend, yes all is well. Just really busy with family, but a good busy. My two little redheaded grandchildren are coming for a weeks visit without their parents. Then on the 28th we are all going, along with their parents, to Lake Winnipeasaukee for a week. Very excited. have been keeping up with my workouts but not my yoga class. The class is at 9:00 am and in the summer I like to get up and get my workouts behind me. It is hard for me to go to the gym at 9 and not get home until 10:30 during the beautiful weather. Instead of clearing my mind during yoga I find myself thinking, I should be outside!! Been playing golf and gardening.

How are you? Workouts going well? What do you have planned for the summer?

Peace and Love sent your way!

Hi sweetie! Some things are going so well and others could go better but I'm working on it. Life gets messy from time to time, y'know?

I had a fantastic session with the trainer and I see him again on Sunday. We're working on progressive overload so it's mostly barbell work. I need to conserve strength, keep my bones strong and builds more lean muscle mass because this disease is brutal when it comes to balance. If you don't work to have decent balance and strength, it can really wreak havoc on the body.

I still continue with running (much shorter distances now because it is so hot) and other metabolic work to stay fit from a cardiovascular and lungs perspective. Mostly, it is the best stress release on the planet and so cheap!

I know you will have a wonderful time with the grandchildren and they must love having an active and outgoing grandmother. I am just SO happy you got your laby done and are living life to its fullest again. Your posts are energizing, supportive and caring. I hope I get to meet you one day.

Nathan, bust out those roller skates and a helmet and some knee pads ;D For some reason I envision you as someone who loves riding bicycles. I know you are an ace swimmer. Do you still swim?

Everybody else on this thread, keep up your fitness goals. Nourish your body. Give yourself the gift of sleep. Meditate for 30 minutes every day and clear your mind. Don't hold on to anger, grudges, jealousy, envy, and regret. Those are little gremlins who want to invade your (and mine as well) happy space.

We are much stronger than our weaknesses; we simply forget that we are. Have a fantastic day, a tranquil weekend and shine your light brightly wherever you go.

    Peace out!

    Haha. Why's that?

Absolutely. The waters nippy & wind chill abominable this time of year though.

Which reminds me, happy summer solstice, northern hemispherians!

I dunno. I get the impression that you enjoy activities that give you time alone and way from from the maddening crowd.

My personal trainer is a dream. I'm so sore today from yesterday's workout. He made is sound easy but it really wasn't. Today is power yoga day. That's it. No workouts.

Have a restful Sunday and spend your time wisely.

I have a confession to make. I have had a bad eating week. Not sure why, other than not taking the time to make good choices. But yesterday I put my brakes on and started back on healthy choices. Went to a spin class and lifted weights before I picked up my two grandsons who will be spending the next week and a half with me. We are planning on a hike today and fishing. Should be a lot of fun. Going to stay on a good eating track too!! Have a great day, sending peace and good vibes your way!
