I try to stay up until my husband goes to bed so i can spend as much timme as I can with him. He's gone a lot and it's lonely here with two teenagers that that hibernate in their rooms and three dogs that love me but just haven't figured out how to carry on a conversation with me yet. LOL
LOL I talk to my pets all the time and no one talks back so that's good. Do you have family dinners with no phones etc allowed? Just conversation? I found they didn't like it much but we got through it and now they remember the family dinners. One time I started a food fight. Didn't mean to but my husband really pissed me off. Just better memories.
I do talk the dogs too but would proobably freak out a bit if they talked back. I do think they understand you so some degree though. One of my dogs is as 5 month old boxer, off the wall hyper! The last two major attacks I've had he has laid at my feet on the couch and didn't move for HOURS. Just laid there with me. I need to reinstate the family dinner rule. We've gotten off track. I haven't been cooking very much lately. Oh, ok. Not at all.
Ever try movie night? They get to pick? When all my kids are here in the evening we watch movies now. Sometimes we get something for the grands unless they are sleeping. Doesn't matter if you cooked it or ordered it. Everyone has to eat. Over time those meals become an everyday thing. Once they are out of the house you're lucky if you can get a Sunday dinner every week. Mostly once a month...unless it's my family and you never know when you're going to have 4 extra for dinner. Things like that keep a family close.
I'm thinking about why do people think they can be self-righteous and judge mental when they are the biggest part of the problem. Ive learned a long time ago that those people are hypocrites. Now on to better thoughts. It's a beautiful day. After grocery shopping I think I'll chill in the yard with the dogs and catch some Rays.
