http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3555292/Prince-s-former-drug-dealer-reveals-extent-addiction.html its amazing how many great performers suffer from stage fright, i remember reading a book on michael jackson and he would get so scared before concerts and performances that he often threw up before taking the stage because of stage fright.
i love the dr. in the Atlanta Braves hat!!! and i found the picture of him riding his bike around his property 3 days before his death a little chilling. Probably the last anyone saw of him alive.
Prince once said to an interviewer in Rolling Stone "It doesn't have to be either /or the world is a big place and some people will like you, some will hate you but I don't put my friends/fans in hand cuffs. Friends and fans are not exclusivity. Mom always told me some will come and some will go but since the world is a big place and as long as you are true to yourself in the end you will have many" When questioned about his music and relationship with Michael Jackson. He never explained whatnhappened between them, he kept it private all his life.
I don't recall Prince ever mentioning that in the interview---friends telling on friends---I think it had something to do with musical rights and catalogues of music. My guess is Michael Jackson was going to try and buy the rights to his songs like he did the Beatles. I remember Michael and Paul McCartney loosing their friendship over rights to songs and royalties.
Maybe not! I'm kinda excited about hearing his hidden music. I guess that depends on what happens to his estate.
I thought the interview was wonderful. He talked straight up and didn't hold back much. You get to see a whole different side of him that changes your perspective. It's not the "personality" he adopts for his performances. It was eye opening.
That is a really interesting article, i did hear he and michael jackson were very good friends at one time, maybe it was because they were both Jehovah Witnesses but isn't it kind of ironic that they both followed a strict religion took the same path and died in the same way, abusing prescription drugs. My favorite song of his was Let's Go Crazy
In the interview Prince said he was collaborating with Michael Jackson on Thriller. It was to be a kind of duet but Prince objected to a line in the song that was something like, "your ass is mine." Michael Jackson would be singing that line and Price said something like, "no one sings my ass is there's."
