okay.... 20 years ago when I was in the navy stationed on the engineering sub HMCS Olympia, I fell out of my chair while doing some drawings. I did not stand straight for three weeks, and, I was out of the Navy. :( They tested me then for Menier's Disease but I had not had enough occasions to be diagnosed.

Last summer while caring for my Dad in London Ontario, I had quite a few 'vertigo' symptoms that had me in bed for 4 or 5 days at a time. Then, last December I ripped a piece of laminent without ear protection and the tinitus screamed and has never stopped. In February, 75% of my brother's visit, I spent laying in bed with a sleep mask on, trying not to puke.

It is May and I should already be at my Dad's, but I can't drive securely. On Wednesday I drove over the mountain to see my Doctor and when I got back... well - I have been down since.... HOW am I going to drive across country to care for my Dad??!!

I take Betahistine for the vertigo and just started a diaretic to see if that helps. My life....well.... I don't seem to have one.

Yesterday the vertigo was so bad that I kept falling down IN MY DREAMS!

ANY suggestions about what worked for you might help me.

As you will see many of us have gotten relief from.anti-viral meds. I am on them currently and.so far go good. We shall see. Your symptoms are awful and most of us have been there. By the way, you will also read on here if you can't get a doctor to prescribe an anti-viral you can try Monolauren an natural anti-viral. You see at the very least an ENT or a Neurologist or an Neorootologist. Good luck.

Antivarals helped so many! In the meantime, while sorting out a prescription with your doctor, order Lauricidin ( monolaurin)It stopped my vertigo touch wood. It's not that expensive and you never know. Perhaps it will help you as well. Good luck!!
