:( Two E.R. visits in 3 days! All due to migraine headaches caused by b/p spiking--that all began with the Prednisone meds I was on !
Have had MRI and CT scan, blood work etc. Hadn't had a 'pain migraine' for years--but have had vestibular migraines--all symptoms of migraines w/o the pain since developing Meniere's. My b/p at E.R. last night was 222/79! Given IV b/p meds.
At the first visit to the E.R. they gave me migraine pain meds and I had taken two and nothing stopped the pain. Was holding an icebag to my head all the way to the hospital--it happened quite suddenly too.
So, am on increased b/p meds and just hoping I don't have a recurrence. All this started a week ago when my ent put me on Prednisone to hopefully stop hearing loss in my good ear, and I have an appt. with him next week and will get hearing retested. Now it's louder but not 'clear' at all. Had to wean off the Prednisone due to awful side effects--agitation, elevated B/p, etc. Did take several days so hoping it helped some anyway. Feel really drained! :)

I hope you're feeling better very soon. I've racked up my fair share of ER visits from MM since beginning of December

Hey girl, sorry you're going through this. Extreme fatigue often happens after a Menieres attack.
Today I've been asleep more than awake. I had an attack yesterday.

Wishing you the very best and hoping your recover quickly.

  5. Hope you're feeling better.

Well, spent another morning in the E.R. again with elevated b/p and horrible migraine. Now have 2 otc meds to take and Hydrocodone for a migraine, but hoping this is 'the end'! After years of no painful migraines--but silent---vestibular migraines--this has been a real 'trip'! If the Prednisone has helped me--maybe it's worth it. And the audiogram next week will answer that question. I sure hope 'no more migraines though between now and then. No more prednisone for me--that's for sure. Thanks to you and everyone for encouragment!

  7. You're welcome. Fingers crossed and prayers for you.

So sorry that you had another morning that bad.

I started having painful migraines earlier this year, and have been helped quite a lot by acupuncture. It must have well-established success because my PCP at Kaiser Permanente put in a request for me to have that treatment covered by my medical plan, and it was granted.

musical song Amazing grace played in my ear a long time--like on an organ today I finally fell asleep for a nap. Tonight I couldn't sleep and while in at the computer tried finding answers to this unual thing with hearing loss and Meniere's had this happen. I see movement on my husbands desk but realize it's light reflections from the movement of my fingers and even flashing off the wall, but it sure is upsetting to say the least--almost like a hallucination. MY mother, way up in years before she died began to have them and they were real to her but some scared her. Sure don't hope to have those. I turn my head quickly and they go away but make you uneasy . Just thinking you are losing it!I don't hear voices thank goodness I realized my glasses reflection was causing some of them.and the lighting from the desk and computer were too. So, wondering if anyone here has musical sounds in your heads or even true hallucinations: Heading for bed again and I really thing it's just all the medication I've had in my veins during these trips to the E.R for migraines but did scare me and I'd like to get anyone's input on this new thing I'm experiencing . Heading to bed. hoping to sleep. Ears ringing badly now.
