Has anyone ever had an attack that caused other life-threatening problems? I live in Denver and I recently went up in the Rockies to the Grand Lake area for a retreat. For the first couple of days I had trouble with the altitude, but this seemed to resolve around the 3rd day. But later in that day, I was standing in my room next to an old single-pane picture window when I began to have vicious vertigo. I literally couldn't determine which way was up. On my way down to the floor, I crashed into the window. I received quite a few lacerations, one of which severed an artery in my knee, another severed two tendons in my hand. I was only alone on the floor for a couple of minutes, but during that time I was wedged between the bed and the window, positioned directly underneath the broken window. The jagged glass still in the window and looming above me reminded me of a bad horror movie. But I was very fortunate to be in an environment surrounded by caring, concerned people. In just a couple of minutes, there were over 20 people in my room wanting to help. I was taken to the ER and received excellent care there. But for one or two variables, this could have been much more serious. I guess I'm just venting. Thanks for reading this far!
Wow! That must have been scary. I'm glad you are alright. I've often feared falling in the shower. You know, closing your eyes to rinse your head. I lean tightly to the inner wall to support my self. I've a had few close calls.
I'm glad you made it through ok! What is your current medical regimen? Are you taking anything for the attacks?
What an awful.experience. I have not experienced that and so.sorry you did. I hope your injuries mend quickly. I am.going to Denver in September. I will.have to see how I feel.then I suppose.
