Yes, a number of times. Mine tend to come in bunches.

Yesterday's was the first bad ine in several months. Went to work today and came home and it started all over again. Feeling much better tonight but tired. A month ago my hearing had gotten mostly back to normal. Then my eardrum ruptered and hearing got worse. Finally at the beginning of the week hearing felt almost back to normal. After yesterdays and today its shot right back down but feels worse than before. And the tinnitus is god awful.

This is common for me and here is my reasoning from personal experience. The damage caused during the first attack (a kind of stress crack mixing up the endolymph fluids) needs time to heal.

The affected area is weak, and any pressure for more fluid pressure "blows" it out again. In my experience, LOTS of water, and rest VERY low stress helps me over the hump of repeated attacks. Drew~

I used to have multiple attacks per day. It was a good week if only one per day.

Luckily no more attacks since last weekend when I posted this thread. There were a few days of nonrelenting pulsile tennitis. Now it's back to the regular tennitus. I had though my ear drum was healing ok but yesterday had an excruciating sharp pain that literally had me bending over in tears. Now it's back to its dull throb but hurts down the side of my neck. Hearing sucks. Tried to get in to see the doctor before my appoointment on Monday but no luck. They put me on the cancellation list. We have a little cheapo otoscope here so I had my daughter look in there yesterday and she said it was gross looking. Red, irritated and a big hole. Wonderful! I just hope this hearing issue is temporary. It had just about gone back to normal until this. Now I can't even hear my fingers rubbing together sitting an inch away from my ear. I'll check back in after my appointment Monday afternoon.

My last attack was exactly as you described. I get the sharp pains out of the blue once in a while too.

Please let us know how your Dr. visit goes. Drew~
