I don't come here often so this may have already been posted in the past but it looks like a possible hope for some if it would just become available. The study is 2 years old, I don't know why it takes so long to get things out there for folks who really need it but this looks promising for many with these symptoms! http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25403881
I'm not sure which of these I had--it was told to me by my doctor that it's called Endolymphatic Shunt surgery. I have been vertigo free since 2012. But--look at my posts and you'll see I have other symptoms that make me pretty miserable alot of the time. Head pressure, dizziness/light headed feeling, nausea at times and balance issues. Now dealing with reduced hearing ability--since going off the Prednisone that I did get enough in me to try to treat the hearing loss but brought on side effects that were awful. 5 weeks after going off the meds, my hearing had improved but the last week or so is getting worse! Just very discouraged at this point.
