Yes, I agree I kept having people asking me to do things (be responsible projects) when all this was hitting me for the first time. I found that video and posted it to my FB wall and the asking stopped.
Check into vestibular migraine, aka mav/migraine associated vertigo. Your description nails it, especially since you had a headache, many don't and just end up with meniere's symptoms. MAV and meniere's are similar, but relief takes different approaches.
