Hey guys. All I did was sleep all day. I slept more than I was awake. It's storming here. My Menieres symptoms have subsided. I wonder if my body is fighting the symptoms bad weather usually brings thus sleeping. No one seemed to mind either.
Since I can't sleep I'm sitting here setting myself up. Tomorrows chores: Clean leather sectional with anti-allergen spray. Wax legs. Vacuum downstairs family room sofa and love seat. (One day it's dog hair, next cat hair, lol) Wash my bed lines Now it'll be nice to see what doesn't get accomplished.
I didn't accomplish all I wanted to do today but that's no unusual for me. I over book myself regularly
I can't even go to the beach at night to cool off. It's still hot at night here. Heat index 111. I remember when I grew up with no AC. We were lucky to have fans. My parents got an AC and put it in the master bedroom. My sister and I used to camp out on the bedroom floor. When I first got married we used to hand out on the fire escape to catch some breeze. Our second apt. We had AC units in most of the rooms. Can you imagine this generation living with no AC? I can't even imagine it.
Well, I can do more than imagine it...we're living it now.. I'm about as far Northwest as you can get in the USA without falling into the Pacific Ocean or crossing into that country where they say "'Eh?". The Pacific is about 40 miles due West of home, but I live at the bast of the N. Cascades, so both the heat (and cold) tend to pile up. AC is not common here at all, in fact most homes are not built with central air simply for the reason it was so rarely needed. Not this year. It was 95º on the front porch today. We do have one window unit in the house, but I spend my days in my shop, which is an 8x16 well-insulated room built in my garage. At the moment it's 80º and 77% humidity in here, and a box fan (big 'un) is blowing on me from about 10' away. My little buddy, Scruff, is sacked out on his bed with the fan hitting him straight in the face, and I'm a foot away at my desk. It's actually comfortable for me so long as I'm in shorts, shirt off and barefoot. I don't smoke (anything) in the house, so this is my cave to hang out in when awake. My indoor garden doesn't like the heat and humidity, either. Hope I don't lose my current crop of medicine, as I've got a lot of time invested in them. Gonna be like this for the next 6-10 days... ??? Can't wait for Fall/Winter to get here!
Hey Mike!!! Great to see you posting here!! My dogs are lucky in that we have wall vents near the floor. They each have their own vent, lol. What kind of pet is Scruff? So, you have a man cave? I have a bitch cave! Our weather is supposed to continue like this for the week ahead as well. I'm going to have to stay indoors. It's weakening me. Your poor plants! LOL! Federal Express my friend.
Been hot and humid here, but it's great if you like Fromunda Cheese!!!!!! Perfect weather for that. From under my balls cheese!
Well friends family day today. Not feeling in top shape. Alternative medication and a KLonipin should get me through until tonight. Then it's bottoms up.
Enjoy your day Bea. It's too hot to be outside so I'm not going out for anything except to take the dogs to the bathroom. So far today I've managed to get the kids to do it.
You're all getting a time out if you don't post! I went today to talk to my tattoo artist and scheduled my appointment for October. I decided since I felt this wasn't the right time for me and a new puppy I'd use a small part of the money I'm saving to do something for me that I'll have forever. I'm very excited. I like body art!
