Hello everyone. This is my first post and as you know I am desperate to get over this. I may have something new to offer and I'm telling you my story just in case. I'm 73 and I am aware of most of what's been posted here about food, supplements, exercise etc. I need to drink a LOT of water to keep my headaches under control. And I need to take Ginger Root every four hours to have any kind of a life. I double the Ginger Root in the morning. Sometimes I can get up to 90% relief and sometimes I am very sick. Drugs make things worse. This is the Ginger Root I take: http://www.allstarhealth.com/de_p_ref/29914/DT29914/Natures_Herbs_Ginger_Root.htm I also mix Peppermint essential oil in extra virgin coconut oil to keep my stomach from being really sick (the worst part of this). If you try essential oils be very careful, they are dangerous when not diluted properly. Being desperate and willing to try anything I bought this nose cleaner on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01787L6QY/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_5 This product helps reduce the symptoms. At first I thought the salt was helping but I now know that it’s the vacuum created in my ears that makes me feel a little better. Looking at the graphics at the top of this page may explain it, or maybe not. http://www.dizziness-and-balance.com/disorders/menieres/men_eti.html In 2013 I tripped and bumped my head which also triggered vertigo. But vertigo is easily controlled with the Brandt-Daroff exercise. But when I have this and vertigo at the same time I am very tempted to end my life (still an option). I started using the machine every morning followed with the Brandt-Daroff exercise (out of desperation). There was no spinning of the room that you get with vertigo but I did notice something going on in my head and it did help a little. One morning the spots on the wall I stare at did move a little but did not spin. I sat up quickly as I always do after the exercise but I said to myself "this is not working" and got up and started walking (I walk in circles everyday in my bedroom). But something told me to step hard on the carpet to send a shockwave up my body to my head. Which I did and after about three steps I had to drop to my hands and knees to keep from falling. The worst of it was over in 10 seconds and I got up and continued walking and I think the Menieres was a little better. I did this for a week and then I no longer had to drop to the floor to keep from falling. But it took longer to fall each day that first week. At the end I was walking hard for five minutes before having to drop to the floor. Maybe this was related to vertigo but I don't think so because it takes hours to feel better after vertigo. And here is the rest of my story: One day I was walking in my neighborhood and there was a LOT of pollen in the air. Something tickled my nose and I responded by snuffing a lot of pollen up my nose. Within 30 minutes I was getting a sore throat and three days later I was feeling dizzy. After a month of this I went to a specialist and he prescribed 40mg of Prednisone seven times a day along with an anti-viral drug. After two doses of Prednisone I woke up at 4:AM sweating badly, bad headache, high blood pressure, and all the dizzy symptoms greatly amplified. I’m fairly certain this high dose of Prednisone triggered this Menieres. I've since learned that 7.5mg or less is a proper dose of Prednisone. I went to a different specialist and he diagnosed me with Vestibular Ganglionitis and the rest is history. I also have high frequency ringing in my ears but I've had it for many years. I can always tell when it's going to get worse because I start sweating for no reason. Oddly enough it starts at my ankles and works it way up. Does anyone else sweat from the ankles up? I hope this doesn't sound too crazy. I'm just trying to help. But there are times when I cannot stop my headache, my stomach hurts, I'm nauseous, dizzy, my teeth hurt, and all the stress raises my blood pressure which gives me chest pain. You just want to die. Last of all this recent video is interesting and may help us: https://youtu.be/yvQGPIrBIbU Dennis
