    Which pair?

No ring on the dresser but I have one more place I need to look.
Hubby left a message on answering machine though. No way in hell I'm calling him back. I will have a new number by 6:45 tonight.

Your not a proctologist by day are you? And lost it in some guys asshole I hope, if you are, let me go public with the news and we could make make great money selling that story to the Tabloids.

Searched everywhere and even called my brother and the neighbors, no ring.

Where is the ring? Kind of like who shot JR!!!

    The mystery deepens.

I still can't find it and it's not funny at all. I'm devastated and fearful of telling hubs. I'm wearing my band and it won't be questioned. I'm hoping it'll pop up but I just have a feeling it's not here. Like maybe I cleaned it and laid it on a paper towel and accidentally threw it out...I don't know because we, (sons) and I tore everything apart in my bedroom even moving all of the furniture.
I'm devastated and borderline depression is kicking in big time.
They don't even make this cut of stone anymore. I won't say how expensive it is but that ring is a part of me. I feel like somebody died and having a really hard time acting normal because I can't stop thinking of where it could be.

Good Luck, I hope you find it.

It should/may be covered under homeowners insurance if you tell them it was lost in a drain.

    Best of Luck!!!

Did your ring ever show up, Bea?
My cognition story of te weeki terribly exciting but enough to be annoying. I eat a ton of salad annd fresh fruit. We had some avocado on top of the fridge. I remember picking up off the floor but undoubtedly I ended up putting it in the freezer. I buy huge bags of broccoli. I just opened it yesterday. After a couple of hours my daughter asked me why was the broccoli in the pantry. I lost the same item three times yesterday. I end up finding it, all three times. It was annoying because I knew I'd had it but forgotten where I put it. So I then move it to a different place thinking surely I would remember where it was. Time two, no luck. Couldn't remember where I put it at. I left it there thinking I'd definitely remember it in the same place. Nope, still took me 15 minutes to find it.

Once again, 10 mg of vinpocetine (up to 30 mg) per day can dramatically increase memory.

    John,

I took your recommendation when I last had this kind of problem.
    I do take it everyday.

Losing ones engagement ring is serious business.
My Dr recommended a Neurologist. I'm calling for an appt. tomorrow.

my prediction is, it will only be a matter of time before you claim a 90% cure rate for Alzhiemers (sp) using vinpocetine and memory loss.

I have a tumor on my brain, can you recommend a supplement for that or should i see a Dr.

i know, i know i know Doctors suck and are lazy and don't know shit!!!!

BumbleBea, I'm really hoping you will find your ring. I can relate. Within the past year, I've had two items similarly precious and irreplaceable (one was my wedding ring) go missing. It was gut wrenching. Each turned up a week or two later. I had simply put them in very unusual places. Try not to make yourself crazy and hang onto the hope that it'll turn up. My fingers are crossed for you.

    Wow, Lilli!

We haven't even interacted yet you reached out to me in my time of need.
    Thank-you.

I'm glad you found your rings.

My house isn't cluttered and room by room and drawer by drawer and moving furniture and we cannot find it.
Hub says he doesn't feel bad about it but he really understands and feels really bad for me.

I have to let it go.

    I'll never buy another one.
My daughters legacy is gone now.

    I appreciate that you understand.

    I'm doing forgetful things today:
I had the brown sugar in the fridge that I used yesterday.
I thought my daughter went to school at 5 and she goes at 8. I did look on the calendar beforehand and never saw the 8 and I know Wednesday's are 8.

I swear I go to do one thing and have the next thing in my head and when I'm done with the first thing I forget what the second one was. Sometimes it comes to me immediately or I'll go towards the room I meant to to in for something and I have to pause to remember what it was.

I have an appointment with a Neurologist next month which is the first opening they had.

I feel damned stupid. I notice when I pronounce something wrong. I notice when I can't spell right or have trouble with handwriting.
If this a progressive effect of Menieres even while being symptomatic free except for 1 or 2 small attacks, I don't want to live this way.

So, friends, has anyone ever experienced this to this degree or know of someone who has?

    Hi Bea

I have the same memory problems. I think some of it is a normal aging process. But i did find that it got a lot better after i got off benzos (prescribed by genius doctors for meniere's, of course). Are you taking benzos? They are well known to affect memory.

OMG Bea! now I know why I'm doing these things just like your description about I am frequently confused, and I have trouble remembering . I can't for the life of me figure oiut why in the middle of q conversation its like I zone out and start talking about a different topic and the person I'm talking to says what are you talking about. I often forget how to spell words and even look at a word I will forget what it what in the world. I make no sense at times.

I found the broccoli in the pantry the other day. If it happened only a couple of times then I'd ignore but every time I turn around my brain takes a break I went to the neurologist and all is fine upstairs according the testk results. So, I'm either losing my mind or it is related to my menieres. I constantly have brain farts and get very embarassed. I'm on a small amount of xanax but this issues started way before I was put on anythinig like that.

Lilli, you're not alone and are in good company here.

I'm sorry about the loss of your ring.

This all sounds like me. I have been feeling like I'm loosing my mind. Forgetting & not being able to think. In a way this is the absolute worst part of this whole thing. It's like it turns you into a different person.

moodymom27, the embarrassment is no small part of it for me either. I'm reluctant to explain to people because the whole thing sounds crazy.

We gotta hang tough. It is very helpful to know that other people are experiencing the same thing.

    This is disgusting.

I was feeding the dogs. I chopped up the dog food and I decided to mix in some pasta left from yesterday.
I'm mixing it and I went, mmmm, a piece of meatball. Well, it wasn't. It was a chunk of dog food. Made me vomit.

When I went to put the dog food roll back in the fridge I realized I had put the brown sugar in the fridge.

I lost a very important piece of jewelry. After turning everything upside down we can't find it. I think I had cleaned it and left it drying in a paper towel. I guess I forgot and threw it out.

    That's a big one.
