I'm so behind on here. Its quite hectic in life lately and just haven't had time to get on here. I went to my new doctor. I really like her despite not giving me antivirals. She said I HAVE to get rid of some of my stress and depression because it is feeding the Menieres. She wants strict adhearance to the sodium and no no foods. She insisted that I need to have a break from all this craziness in some way. Also, next week I'm starting vesitibular therapy. That's it in a nutshell.
I've heard the stress and depression feeds Menieres but Menieres also feeds on them. I'd like to see any Dr. Take stress, anxiety or depression away from people's mind just by telling them they need to do it. We have everyday things we need to do on top of that. We can't hide and not talk to anyone like we wish to. Maybe these Dr's know about an ON/OFF switch we can use to take stress out of our lives. I'm not saying your Dr is bad. Im saying this in reference to any patient who has had their Dr tell them that.
I forgot to add that last night I stayed slightly dizzy all night. My daughter had a major meltdown and then it really flared up. The kids are supposed to take our big dog out per my husbands orders. Why? He's a 9 month old 80 pound boxer very muscular and he's made me fall once in the yard. Well both kids were asleep last night and he needed to go outside. Soooo I tpok him out. ?And guess what happened?Yep, I fell. Twice. first time I fell was on a grassy slope and the second time was on the front porch concrete where he went barralling into the house and I didn't have a chanceit at staying on my feet. I tried to get my son up but he wasn't budging. Hopefully that will be enough to motivate him to get out of the bed and taking him out.
I agree it doesn't just go away because yoou want it to. If so, I would have been releived from the depression long ago. I think what she was saying was that I need to quit taking this on so much because it is affecting my health. Some one else needs to give me a break and take over sometimes. My husband helps tremendously when he's home but he works 48 hour shifts so one, he's not here a lot of the time to see how and what is going on. He gets a 48 hour break at work. I do not. Day in and day out.
