One of the things I did when this awful disease started was that I stopped drinking cow milk. I'm an allergic type, and I heard that for some people cow milk can make the fluid in the sinus passages thicker. I want to keep things open in that area as my ear gets so stuffy, so I gave this a try and switched to goat milk. It worked wonderfully. Throughout my life when I have gotten sick my nose has been completely blocked, and that has not happened since I made this dairy switch. We eventually realized my son has the same issue. I love the goat milk (and yogurt and cheese), but it is pricey, especially with two of us drinking it now. When I did some research I learned that some people are allergic to the A1 protein in milk, which is a relatively new protein. Historically milk just had A2 protein. Jersey cows are A2 only, and I've been able to drink some of that milk with no problem. Most cow milk has both A1 and A2. Well, I was pleased that my husband brought home a carton of milk labelled "A2 Milk" from Trader Joe's recently. It's very tasty and solves the problem for both my son and I. Here's a link to the company's web site in case anyone else is interested: https://www.a2milk.com/
I may have to check that out. I don't drink/consume too much milk - partly because of the reasons you stated (ongoing sinus). Thank you for sharing.
