I have a question guys. Can a pharmacy put the label for a manufacturer on the prescription but, it's not from that manufacturer? I'm just wondering because the refill I got says NorthStar but the pills are a lighter blue. I'm thinking they are just putting the same label because they know that's what I asked for. Can a pharmacist do that? Can someone please respond I'm so tired of everything. I'm still waiting for relief this ear pressure is so bad , off balance and vertigo. I guess I'm the unlucky one to take antiviral for months and still no relief. I'm trying to not give up it's so hard.
My prescriptions always come in a box and a blister pack, both of which have the manufacturer’s name clearly printed, so I am confused by your question. But if you have any doubts why don’t you ask the pharmacy? It would be unethical and probably illegal to pass off one product for another. Good luck with the AV trial. They don’t work for everyone, and they are not an instant magic bullet. If your current ones haven’t helped in months then a change of manufacturer might help according to those “inmates” that appear to be more brand sensitive.
I'm not sure about the that, but you should ask the pharmacists what's up. Will your doctor consider scripting the name brand? If not, perhaps try Famvir.
I spoke to the pharmacist they will order the the one I had before and I return this one, which is from Cadista.
AEC - the pill bottle should always reference the manufacturer for what is inside, always. In addition to the color, there are different numbers/markers on the pills that you can look up online to confirm that you have received the proper med. Glad that you were able to return the one they gave you!
I had an issue with this once where they gave me a generic but it was marked name brand.. I had concerns as well till the pharmacists explained the generic was made by the same company but just had a different marking
I'm still waiting for relief. Maybe it takes longer for some of us.☹️️ The pressure is driving me crazy and vertigo.
