I am going to start taking a vitamin B-12 sublingual tablet daily, starting tomorrow. Has anyone here found vitamin B-12 to help with their Meniere's or MAV? In April 2015 I had my level tested because of fatigue, and tingling hands/ feet and my level came back at 585 which was in the normal range (although I read that some countries consider anything below 600 to be deficient). Anyway, I started feeling much better about 6 weeks later, including my ear issues. Fast forward to now... I am very fatigued, my big toe has been numb for a couple months, I have tingling in my hands/feet again, I keep getting canker sores in my mouth and I am bruising easy. I had my b-12 tested in October and was told it was normal, but it came back at 367. So definitely lower than last year. And at the bottom of my lab results it says: So I figured b-12 is worth a shot to see if it helps me. Since my levels are on the low side of normal I figure it can't hurt, right?
Not me but there was one person here for whom this was the whole answer. I forget her name for the moment, darn because i am sure there are some threads on it in the archives.
I have not heard of how it affects Meniere's but I am starting a sublingual myself just to try to improve my mood and focus.. Improving ears would be nice side effect though.
It was Taximom5. I was just looking through the archives and found her postings. It would be amazing if that were the case for me but I am definitely not expecting to be my "cure". I am not that lucky. Hopefully it helps me some though!
The person i was thinking of was not Taximom. Not sure but 'Lisa' just popped i to my head. She had been on the forum a long time, long before me or Taximom.
There’s a thread with info about B12 started by John of Ohio. If you search “vitamin B12” titles only it comes up.
