I have had Meneieres for 30 years. It had gotten better. I had gentimicin drops and have lost all hearing in my right ear and have about 60 percent word recognition. Every day I would have little dizzy spells but nothing bad. I got real sick Thanksgiving day and ever since that day I have had at least one to two bad spells a day. To where my husband would have to come pick me up from work. I take valium ad it helps but I am just confused as to why all of a sudden this flare up. Has this ever happened to anyone? I cannot live like this. HELP

The only thing I have not tried is Anti Virals. I am starting those this week. Has anyone had success with those?

Yes, many hundreds of people have had complete relief with antivirals, without resorting to destructive surgery. It doesn't work for everyone, but has a 90% success rate documented by Dr. Gacek and several hearing centers nationwide. Many of us also recovered our hearing loss.

Thank you my doctor is giving me antivirals. I hope this works. I got real sick at Thanksgiving and have had attacks every day since then. I just can't help but think it has something to do with me getting sick.

I would recommend reading all the antiviral posts here. What antiviral is your doctor giving you?

There have been a lot of reports of Mylan generics failing to work. Northstar generics seem to work for most people. I personally take name brand Valtrex.

When you get it, ask the pharmacy for Northstar manufacturer. Especially avoid Mylan, as a LOT of people have found it doesn't work well.

I second what scott tom said about not accepting Mylan. There are numerous testimonials online from people suffering from HIV that find relief with the NorthStar brand but no relief from Mylan. Good luck.
