I ve been taking it for about 6 months. I went to do blood levels three months ago and my doctor said everything is good. She told me I could come back in May but I decided to do it next month.Just to be on the safe side. I noticed when it's close to time for my next dose, I feel the pressure stronger like my body knows it's time for it. Does that mean it's trying to work? Does it mean the virus is fighting. Someone please give me an opinion about that .I find it to be weird. Next month I have an evaluation for Vestibular therapy.
Thanks for supporting me on here . No one knows what we go through with this horrible illness. I get told " you don't look sick" . People think I'm crazy because I walk off balanced . I hate my life at this moment.

I would listen to your doctor. If she thinks it's fine, and you have no side effects, then you should be ok. My doctor said it's fine as well to take the max dose indefinitely. Dr. Gacek told me that he has never had a single patient develop any problems other than gastritis (very rare).

You can take the Valacyclovir indefinitely. My husband does after Shingles seven times.

I understand that some people with AIDS have been taking valacyclovir for decades.

Are you taking the full dose? (3 grams/day)

I hear you about "you don't look sick." : (

I always wondered what that meant. "You don't look sick" What diseases make you look sick? Yes, there are plenty that make you look sick, from the least serious cold and flu to cancer, but many people have those diseases and don't look sick. It just something people say, because they don't know what to say. I had a coworker say the thing everyone should say "That must be awful."

    YES IT IS!

Yes I'm taking the full dose . I'm also going through benzo withdrawal and I believe it made the Mienere's much worse.

Thanks. Tomorrow I go for blood work to make sure everything is ok. I don't need anymore problems.

Yes, that would do it. In fact, benzo withdrawal symptoms are frequently identical to mm symptoms. Don't assume anything about your mm until you have fully withdrawn from the benzos. That could take several months.

Once you find out your bloodwork is fine stop sweating the antivirals. Your body is going through a lot right now. Just let it happen.
I'm not a Dr but I don't think what you're experiencing before a dose is related to the antiviral.
