Anybody get vertigo after experiencing loud noise? The last couple weeks every once in a while after I hear a loud noise I will get sudden vertigo and the nausea feeling. After the vertigo dies down, I will be sensitive to any noise for a few hours afterwards and I will feel off easy.
I had symptoms where certain sounds would cause nausea. Fortunately, it did not progress to vertigo before i got things under control with antivirals. I think it would have. The dr was not surprised when i described it. It is called Tulios.
Yes, I definitely experience this !! and i live with a parrot. I know crazy menieres woman living with a parrot LOL.
What is perilymph fistula and SCD? I have never heard of them before. What exactly is Tullio's phenomenon? My doctor has never mentioned any of those before.
Flashback to a few years ago. We had entered the United Center in Chicago for a Neil Diamond concert. (I've loved Neil's music since 1970.) I started feeling strange with all the noise and little pubs blasting Neil's songs, but as soon as we got into our seats the vertigo began. The lasers, the loud volume, there I went big time. I ended up spending the ENTIRE concert in the first aid station, naming Neil's songs in between sweating and freezing and using the sickness bag they provided. When I was well enough to leave, they were kind enough to wheel me to a doorway where I could listen to a final song or two and get a great view of Neil through blurry eyes. That was a time where earplugs did nothing to help me.
Oh yeah! Weddings, restaurants, playgrounds, malls especially. I'll be perfectly fine but not when I leave and sometimes a break in a restroom helps me to get out of there. I do hope the information given here will help you. Best of Luck.
I wear these ear plugs: https://www.alpinehearingprotection.com/earplugs/flyfit/ when I ride the subway or go to a loud movie or ball game. They also help me with elevation change issues I have. They have been great for me--enough ear protection to take care of the problem, but I can still hear conversation. I don't like wearing them in restaurants though because the chewing sounds are so loud.
Those are great! And more variations on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_14?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=alpine+hearing+protection&sprefix=alpine+hearing%2Caps%2C171&crid=1OC0TPGKND02H
