Funny that you posted that, Melc. I have a very similar site saved to my favorites. When my granddaughter gets just a bit older, I thought it would be a fun project for us to do together. I like the glitter on the jars in the one you posted. Maybe we have some things in common. https://www.buzzfeed.com/carolineemiller/light-up-your-kids-night-with-these-magical-fairy-lanterns?utm_term=.jeWqgRMOG#.ltw4K8PRN
Thanx so much Melc! I think these would be fun to make and great gifts! I've been looking for a hobby and daughter and I love to do crafts. We're learning to crochet. Well, she's learning and then she comes home for practice homework and I get to learn it too. I've done it but not since 1981. My horoscope said good things would come my way today.
P.S. I posted it on my FB page. My friends would love this and it gave me a great idea... Maybe we can get together as a group a night a week and do them. Alcohol mandatory, lol. I like you!
I like the one on your link, too Cheryl. Thanks for sharing it. Way cool that they provide the silhouette of the fairies. You'll have a blast when you and your GD make one. I've been enchanted by fairies since I was a little girl. Tinker bell was such a delightful fairy. I loved how she sprinkled fairy dust. The British have saying that if you're demented , you're away with fairies. I love that. My husband often tells our kids that mom is away with the fairies. Thank you BumbleBea. I hope you do make some. If you do please post a picture.
It's going to take some time and a lot of caution to cut out those fairies with an Xacto knife. I should probably get started them. ;D
My sinuses are killing me. I needed a distraction from that and my mid winter blues. I found some really cute whimsical fairies and gardens and . It gives me something to plan look forward to. Thank the goddesses for Pinterest! https://homebnc.com/best-diy-miniature-fairy-garden-design-ideas/
Fairy gardens are nice too but can be addictive. It's so much fun to use your imagination. No two are alike.
Thanks for the link, Melc. I've never seen a fairy garden I didn't like. Last fall I dug up, potted and brought in my fairy garden plants. So far, all but one has survived. Can't wait to get them back outside again. My daughter got me a beautiful fairy cottage for Christmas and I'm eager to make a garden using it. Sorry to hear you're feeling down today. I get it. My husband and I had plans for the day and here we are at home because of freezing rain. Two days ago it was 76 degrees. Hope you can muster up some energy to do something that makes you happy. Darn sinuses!
It really is a great link. It gave me a few ideas for my currents but I'd like to do one using the ideas. My Fav is that my grandsons will look for the tiniest sea shells and sea glass.
I can think of worse addictions! I don't have much of an imagination so I am grateful for those who do and who are willing to share their creations and ideas.
Stupid weather! I think the constant changing is what has my sinuses in an uproar. Too bad you had to postpone your plans. What kind of plants did you dig up to over winter? Your fairy cottage sounds lovely. Can you post a picture? I hope you get to do your plans with your husband soon. I love outings my my husband.
Aaaand......now it's snowing. Coming down hard and piling up. Hope it stops soon so I can go ahead with tomorrow's planned day out. Melc, I'm not sure what all the plants are. I know there's a Parlor Palm that works great for a tree, three mini mondo grass plants, a Mexican heather, mini asparagus plant, mini ivy and several others I don't know the names of. My new fairy house is called Dragonfly Hollow and is 12 inches tall, 10 wide. As with so many things, the picture doesn't do it justice. It's so pretty. See it here, first house in row three. http://www.bakersvillagegardencenter.com/category_127/Houses-and-Cottages.htm
That's a delightful fairy cottage, Cheryl. I love dragonflies. Very nice. Your plants sound pretty. You must have a huge garden. I still feel like poo so I've been surfing for fun things. I found this awesome creation made from a broken clay pot! I love it. If had broken the pot, I would have thrown it out. Very clever. http://www.upsocl.com/creatividad/aprende-a-construir-un-jardin-para-las-hadas-con-las-macetas-que-se-quebraron/ I hope you can carry out your plans. I have to be at the arena to watch the ifs play hockey at 7:45 am .
*kids not ifs, lol. I love this one. Easy and indoors! https://www.littlethings.com/teacup-mini-garden/amp/
I had never heard of these. It would be fun to make for a small indoor fairy garden. http://wonderfuldiy.com/wonderful-diy-nail-polish-flowers/
