This is the beginning of day 17 on 3000g of valacyclovir. I think it's working!!! My ears definitely feel different in a better way. The fog is almost completely gone. My ears do weird stuff like suddenly I hear a low whistle, like a change of frequency and then it just goes away within seconds. I still have a little bit of tinnitus on my bad ear but sometimes I think it just goes away. It's weird because I feel that something is going on inside my ears like I can feel my inner ears all the time. like a litle bit of pressure but it's not the typical fullness feeling. Maybe they are healing like a wound? The dizziness is much better than last week for sure. I'm still a bit dizzy but slowly but surely is getting less and less. I can feel changes weekly but not necessarily daily. My doctor approved me staying on the 3000g plan for a while longer so I will do it for at least 3 month or until symptoms are gone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks,
Very good news! I had that as well for months after the vertigo went away. It felt like something was coming and then it didn't.
It is very encouraging that you are getting results within the Gacek three week cut off period. Hopefully you have found the source of your Meniere’s. Keep pedalling!
All I'm taking is: 1000g of valacyclovir Betahistine 8mg x3 daily 2 tablets of the lemon bioflavonoids on John of Ohio regimen. I'm hoping to just do the AV soon.
I would suggest adding 3000 mg of lysine each day on an empty stomach. If you take the AV in the morning, then try adding the lysine late afternoon before dinner.
Scott tom In a few weeks i'm going to reintroduce the lycine and see if it still bothers me............
You'll get there. 3 steps forward, one step back and forward again. I love that posting you're posting this experience! May you continue towards relief from symptoms!

Actually Scott, I was trying to ask Karin The Cyclist how she was doing in week three. Sorry, I didnt know how to ask her directly and ended up not capturing her comment as a quote from her.
