Well I go back to my ENT tomorrow after five weeks of steroids in the left ear three times a day. I think the ear tube will come out, but not doing the right ear with the tube. The only thing that has been lessened is the fullness in both ears. The tinnitus and the new roar are much more! I am going to ask her about the anti-viral program so popular here. How do I describe the living hell for these weeks? Headaches with vision and sound distortion, roaring that is in addition to my tinnitus and more hearing loss. Depression and periods where I just sit and stare, and not wanting to get out of bed in the morning because it feels safe. The inability to sit in restaurants or listen to music or movies. Every day I have gotten a headache with pressure around the temples and the eyes. Also, I can't bend down without huge pressure on my face and head. Also, I just feel bad, like I have the flu. What is this? Does anyone else have this? I have not had anti-full fledged vertigo attacks for the last three weeks but constant dizziness, especially when I lean over. Still, I have found some pleasures. My sister suggested writing a children's' story for my great nephew and niece, and I did. It's called, "Molly the Special Butterfly." In some ways I have changed like a butterfly, except the opposite--once free and living life, and now just trying to make this life worth it with these challenges. I have lost 46 pounds as I try and get generally healthier. No salt or caffine for a while...God I miss Coffee......
Have you considered you have Migraine Associated Vertigo? You have headaches. Just something to consider. Good luck with the ENT. Feel better.
Have you told the dr about the huge pressure when you bend down? Seems like that is a clue the dr can work with.
The Dizziness and Vertigo would make me feel flu like as it induced nausea. The last time it happened, DW and I were on a vacation at KY lake. I spent the night by the toilet waiting for the inevitable. This was a periodic occurrence even before my MM diagnosis. I always suspected something more as the flu does not last for just a few hours and then go away. Hang in there!
