A REASON Sitting on the porch, drinking my morning brew I grimace as the laughing joggers pass by Remembering the days when the runner was me Where did life go wrong, and I asked God, why? Many times I look in the mirror and wonder Why am I still here? Where did all the time go? Beneath the confusion, sadness, and pain If lies a reason for my existence, I'd like to know Staring into the distance, I see no future ahead It seems fog and darkness now block life's path How can I look forward to a brighter tomorrow? When all that's in sight is more of life's wrath But time pauses as I think of what lies in store We make our own lives, oft finding what we seek Life is a journey, and where we land is our doing Stand strong, losing is assured if we are weak There's no limit to what the soul can endure Or the power of the will and a determined mind As visions of friends and family once again appear What better reason to live could you possibly find BE HAPPY RoKo Everthing happens for a reason. Most times the reason is because we caused it to happen
I love the way you're writing makes sit and think and this one take stock. Glad you're posting again. Have you ever considered being published? Maybe there's your reason...
