The more research I'm doing, the more I see where possibly bilateral MM may be less responsive to the antiviral approach. Does anyone here have any inputs to challenge or support this possibility? I'm just trying to be as realistic as I can be for my expectations. Your opinions matter to me.

I'm bilateral. What research is telling you that?

I think i am bilateral. One ear had the 8th nerve destroyed by surgery before i got hydrops so i can only go by the feeling of fullness etc. I had success with antivirals and allergy shots. Just try it and find out if it is going to help you. There is no literature, scholarly or otherwise, that can tell you whether it will or wont work for you. You just have to try it. A lot of people here have had success with antivirals, including people with long standing cases thaxt you probably woul think would be the least likely to respond.

I occasionally get fullness in my right ear. I think I would be bilateral if it weren't for the anti-virals I am taking. I had some correspondence with Dr. Gacek, and he thought that was probably true.
