TMJ and MM

  1. Hey everyone - I was wondering if anyone had MM flare ups when their TMJ was worse. I've posted before that I've been having issues with my ear ever since my trip to Europe in April after being symptom free for nearly 5 months. Well, my TMJ has also gotten worse to were I'm waking up with headaches nearly every day. I go to the upper cervical chiropractor, but on Thursday, I went to a physical therapist to get my jaw and neck worked on. Friday I could barely eat I was so sore and Friday night I had a full blown vertigo attack (the first in nearly 9 months) with vomiting and all. I know my symptoms have been bad since April, but I'm not sure if the vertigo could have been brought on by the TMJ issues? Anyone else deal with this? Thoughts?

My TMJ and MM seem to go hand in hand (or head in head I guess). I'm not sure which comes first in the sequence, but when I"m "off" my TMJ and headaches are ever present, where even my teeth seem to hurt.

TLB, we have sooo many of us who have both Meniere's and TMJ. They are interrelated, and they are all about balance and position. Imbalanced muscles and imbalanced mandibular positioning can cause problems. Most often we are not aware of how our dental condition is seriously affecting circulation, cervical spine, and inner ear as well. When I had severe symptoms, I never knew I had balance issue with my teeth and entire mandibular position.

If you haven't seen a dentist who articulates remedy to Meniere's or hearing loss, that would be the one that I recommend. Below are just a couple of examples that I found.

Absolutely connected for me. When I massage my jaw on my "bad" side or my shoulder on the opposite side (which my dentist explained impacts the opposite jaw muscle) my ear gets less stuffed.

I've been treated for TMJ for 18 months now. The only symptom I still have is T. However, I barely notice T. My hearing has returned to normal. Check this study out .... https://www.facebook.com/MenieresNoMore/posts/1402936226491596?fref=gc&dti=1577831952495456&hc_location=ufi
