I had a 'minor' episode of feeling head pressure--but heavy pressure and the feeling if I moved to quickly a vertigo attack might occur. Those were symptoms before my surgery in 2012 (no vertigo since then).
    But--it didn't happen.
Has just left me feeling 'anxious' but also I feel sleepy--due to taking a Valium (right away). I keep them on hand, just in case. Then took 1/2 a Meclizine to be 'safe'.

So, the 'feeling drugged' is probably due to that more than anything. Reading how folks go years without vertigo, then suddenly it returns--made me think it was about to 'happen'.

Thankfully, it hasn't. And I think maybe due to two people I have heard about closer to home who have this has made me dwell on it more. None have had the surgery I did of course, but one just had the Labyrinthectomy and had a really bad few days but I understand now is doing better--but still a long way to go.

Now I need to get busy and quit focusing on this. I have found it helps to do that--but so far today haven't been able to talk myself into it. Anyway--reading what some are going through here--I feel so badly for so many. Do hope you all find good doctor's and effective treatment.

I totally understand what your describing. Fear can be debilitating unto itself. As hard as I try to fight the fear, it lingers in the shadows.

I have had that feeling as well. In fact, I think it took me a year or so to get over the PTSD from this disease. I would take the max dose of Valtrex for a few days after.

Try to not think too much about it. It's normal for us.

It is so hard to not pop two valium the minute I start feeling "off" or "lightheaded" - it is just second nature now to try and stop any and all attacks..... It may not even turn into one but I hate even taking a chance - especially when I am at work. I hope you stay vertigo free!!

Thanks everyone--I'm doing some better--it's a 'wait and see' type of condition for sure and we deal with it as it comes.
