Hi all.....I stumbled across this forum a couple of days ago and am so happy to have gotten all the information about this malady from fellow sufferers who mostly have it much worse than me.
In June 2011 my left ear just suddenly clogged up with a pop and I was slightly unsteady for a couple of hours. Went to the doc who prescribe me OTC Musinex with no relief and then antibiotics with the same results. I lived with not many other symptoms till Oct '15 when I began have unsteady spells where I had to hold onto the walls to get around. Then in April '16 I had my first vertigo attack which was awful with projectile vomiting. Doc put me on Triamterene (sp?) and made appt. with best ear guy in our city. I did all the tests and was diagnosed and put on Lasix. It helped (or so it seemed) till late Jan '17. Then I had another long bout but just one vomit episode thankfully. I upped the Lasix and had 2 months with no episodes then weekly ones, then another 2 months and now it is back with lesser symptoms but still not under control.
I read about pycnogenols and started 150mg like the article recommended and have been on them for 2 months. It took 6 months for 87% of the control group to be symptom free so I am going to continue that therapy. But I just ordered the John in Ohio(?) OTC meds (they haven't gotten here yet) and wondered if anyone had taken the pycnogenols with his regimen and has any input on that mix of meds.

I have a dr appt. today and am going to ask for the antiviral 'scrip while I am there. If I get it I wonder can I take all of that together?
Thanks again for having such an informative site on such an insidious disease. April

  2. April55 - I take and do everything! I take the JOH, diuretic, pycnogenols, antivirals, Allegra for allergies, allergy shots weekly, upper cervical chiropractor, used to do acupuncture, massage, etc. Nothing has been a magic bullet for me unfortunately, but my dizziness and vertigo has been relatively stable for the past month or so. Since, I'm doing so much, I can't say what I attribute it to, but you can definitely take everything together. I'm constantly hitting MM with everything I have! Good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply. I will continue the pycnogenols when I get the other supplements. My GP gave me a 'scrip for antiviral and was very agreeable to me taking it for at least a year so I will start it asap.
