    Hello everyone,

I am new in posting but I had been reading you for over two years (since I was diagnosed) I am 28 now and I hope they can discover something soon so I can "start" my life. After this short presentation, there goes my question.

I was following the progress of Gene, who was active in the old forum and who was the first one to test the vestibular implant. His last message was from 2011, anybody knows if after these three years he is still feeling well? Have they tried the implant on anybody else?

(I apologize if I make any mistakes in English, but I am from Spain and it is not my mother tongue).

I'm not sure, Mirae. I think Gene & MrDizzy may have been friends. Considering MrDizzy doesn't log in often, perhaps send him a PM & ask if he's aware of Gene's progress.

A vestibular implant is under trial in Europe in Germany and Switzerland. It is in several people who have no function In either ear and they are doing well from the emails I have exchanged with researchers.

Bulldog - are you talking about the EPFL in Lausanne? They are working on that at least (also doing great stuff with spinal cords..)
