Hi everyone! I hope you all are well.

Several years ago there was a member here named Gene (I think). He had experimental implants which allowed him to reverse the signals being sent to his brain during an attack. I seem to remember him going into remission after his surgery and never hearing any news on his experience. Has anyone heard anything from him in recent years?

The real progress is being made by Dr. Della Santina at John Hopkins and his vestibular implant. It is already in clinical trials and they are looking for more participants.

I heard it is going remarkably well in fact one of the participants said he felt like he could ride his motorcycle across country and could walk on a balance beam.

I truly believe this is the answer..... I also hear they are anticipating having a cochlear implant and vestibular implant combo soon.

    Fascinating if you ask me.

I assume one has to have a functioning eight nerve for this?
