Well, my daughter wants a spider web quilt like the one I made for myself. We've already picked out all the fabrics and it will be done in black, white and gray. I'm not going to start on that one just yet. I have been collecting flannel fat quarters for a plaid quilt and I'm really anxious to get going on it. I'm hoping I can pull it off. I have a total of eight quilt tops on my list, so I'm not in any danger of running out of things to do. Are you working on anything special?
Feeling like a sly minx! I ordered a history magazine for $12/year...and didn't tell anyone first! It's the simple things, you know? You guys see the commercial with the guy driving his family around, while none of them are paying attention to him/see him talking? He talks about all the things he's done as a result, including buying a new golf club, which nobody has noticed. So, I Wonder what Autumn has been up to... Cheryl, you can have some of our non-destructive thunderstorms...never mind that doesn't happen here!
Autumn, I seldom watch a commercial. I DVR almost all the shows I like to watch and when I play them back, I FF through all the commercials. During the day I listen to cable news all day while I'm sewing. When a commercial comes on, I'm so focused on what I'm doing that I'm oblivious to them. We've been in a drought all summer, so almost a whole day of rain is something to get excited about! What came over you to be such a rebel and order a magazine without telling anyone? ??? Sly minx, indeed!
Autumn, I don't watch ads either so I haven't a clue about the one youre referencing. I do applaud the rebel in you, tho. Cheryl , you are a good mom to make that quilt for your daughter. Working with those colours, especially this time of year would likely do me in. I'm still riding herd on the grandkids so don't have anything to do right now but the hand stitching on the baby quilts. When i get home this weekend I'm going to assemble the sheep blocks into a flimsy and then get it sandwiched and ready to FMQ. Today is going to be another glorious fall day up here. The Canada Geese and some snow geese are constantly flying over heading south. I love the sound they make It's bitter sweet. Winter is coming.

Hi Autumn, Would you believe that yesterday I saw the commercial you were talking about? Sometimes I leave the toilet seat up, too. That one? Thought of you when I heard it. I'd post pics of my quilts if I knew how to post pics. I knew you weren't making light of our lack of rain. I'm easily entertained, so I loved seeing it. I'm almost deaf, so couldn't hear it and had to settle for looking out the window. Whatcha being grumpy about. Cheer up. ;D
Hot cocoa time! (Or Pumpkin Spice, Mel) I was grumpy because of really mean people I encountered in public yesterday. Been trying to forget about what happened. Had to do with my hearing, or should I say lack of, and being humiliated. If it weren't so late, I'd be drinking hot cocoa now. I'm about to read some news articles online.
