Hi, i read that some people are successfully reduced their symptoms by taking anti-fungal. has anyone here take anti fungal?

I'm currently on AV maintenance dose. it helps alot with my vertigo although there were some dizziness quite often. however my tinnitus & hearing are getting worse.

There are some threads about this in the archives.

Unfortunately these members are no longer active so you don’t have the ability to ask questions.

However, there is some good information in the archives.

This anti-fungal treatment looks similar to that of atopic dermatitis which is often due to fungus - gastrointestinal disease.
Good fungus killers from the body includes coconut oil, ginger, lactobacillus and low-carbohydrate diet.
ckdk, if you google with yeast or candida killer, you'll find a lot of articles.

after reading the old archives provided above, I'm thinking of taking nystatin to see if it's working for me. The dosage reference that I can find is 500,000iu 4 times daily but I can't find for how long.

    Anyone have experience with nystatin?

    thanks

In addition to anti-fungal diet or supplement, following may be some blind spots that can make a great difference on fungal activities: destroy fungal hotbed in your room.
    - clean up laundry sink with oxygen bleach (sodium percarbonate)
    - clean up air conditioners and air ducts with vinegar or hypochlorous acid
    - clean up all the walls and carpets with hypochlorous acid or vinegar

All of these untouched may disseminate fungus all over the house and cloths, so it is good to make your room and cloths fungus-free.

Every time I see the title of this thread I think of an addict snorting foot cream. Can it be deleted once it's run it's course? I'm tired of seeing the words anti fungal.

Thanks for the tips. Can I keep the fugal population in my gut down if I drink diluted apple cider vinegar?
My best to you all and thanks for keeping me company on this journey. This site has been a Godsend for me; thanks everyone.

Marie, 2 tbsp of coconut oil a day is good fungal killer in the gut. I use the oil like a butter, or a cooking oil.
I hear that a diluted apple cider vinegar is good to clean the environment or to the skin, but drinking is with mixed results, as some say that the vinegar somehow activates fungal activities.

Not true! ;D I got an e-mail asking me about this last night, and here I am :)

To answer the original question, MD is multi-factoral, may be related to dental infections, and yes, anti-fungals have helped me tremendously - leaky gut and systemic yeast infection. (See my "I bring you tidings of joy" thread).

I'm on a low carb alkaline diet. Certain fruits and vegetables cause the body to turn acid (bad) and other cause it to turn alkaline (good). There are tons of examples on the web (google alkaline diet).

For instance, apples are good, pineapples are bad (too much natural sugar, tends to be an acidic food). Berries are good, pears are good, mangos are bad (too much sugar).

I plan to be on this diet until well past when my yeast problems are gone (I'm still taking itraconazole right now. I took a course of ketoconazole first, then a round of nystatin, and now the itra).

With the anti-fungals, herbal supplements and diet, I've shed 20 lbs in the last few weeks. I've gone from 275 to 251. My goal is 240, so regardless of the status of the fungal infection, I'll keep on the diet until I hit 240, and possibly 230 depending on how it goes.

I'll agree with this post too. But the most effective yeast killer are the azoles and nystatin. But part of an effective plan against funguses would be adding the coconut oil and ginger (and I've already addressed the low-carb diet). Absolutely crutial. The plan it to overwhelm the yeast with abx, and foods like coconut oil, starve the yeast with a low carb diet, and repair gut damage and replace the yeast by taking lots of probiotic supplements, and eating probiotic and prebiotic foods.

Not need to apologize, I was just teasing! ;)

I haven't been following the forums for a while, I would drop in occasionally and surf, and occasionally somebody would e-mail me asking about the viral document or the anti-fungal paper, but I never felt confident enough to share anything on the forums for fear that it wouldn't be effective (since I'm battling multiple dragons).

It's only in the last few weeks that I've been getting holistic treatments, and have seen a marked improvement in my symptoms. I am about to switch to a holistic dentist too, but he's hard to get an appointment with. I would have shown back up here on the forums eventually to share what I've learned. This forum saved my life. I would never abandon it even if I don't visit often.

The PM asking about nystatin last night reminded me that now would be a good time to come back, so here I am!
