I was with a former Navy Seal yesterday and told him about my battle with Menieres. without hesitation he said I need to get into a Hyperbaric Chamber to get oxygen to my inner ear. The concept makes sense to me but I am concerned that the air pressure may cause vertigo. I've lost 90 percent of my hearing so at this point I'll try anything! If anyone has tried it I would love to hear your thoughts? Thanks!!!
few years ago i tried hyperbaric therapy for ~10 sessions. it didn't help me at that time maybe because it's been 3 years since i had meniere's. the air pressure didn't cause vertigo in my case. although it didn't help with my hearing loss but it still made me feeling a bit fresh after each session.
Thanks for the advice ck! Figured if it worked more of us would've tried it. They did a study in Sweden a few years back and showed decent results. Thanks again!
This interests me. Although I've never tried it, I used to think I'd like to see if it would decrease fibromyalgia symptoms I didn't know that there's increased pressure. Lately I've been having headaches (in-laws visiting) and a little nauseous. I'm sure I overdid the sodium. Hope everyone is feeling their best today.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! You can buy a altitude tent or hyperbaric chamber. A few of my cycling friends sleep in them as it generates more blood cells therefor stronger on the bike.........
Great idea Karina! I am going tomorrow for a consult...Flying give me vertigo overtime so I am concerned about the air pressure. If this doesn't work maybe I could purchase something for my home elliptical...I do believe its lack of blood flow thats killing my hearing (from the Herpes) officially starting Johns regimen Thursday...so pumped!! 9 years so far...fingers crossed!
