I think this is a good topic and doesnt make me a bit sad. Kind of extends my life by letting me particpate ahead of time. For the funeral service, the sad and crying part, How Great Thou Art because it is pretty and combines nature and spirituality and In the Sweet By and By because it draws the family close. For the wake ... i am thinking start with the hit parade from 1964-1974 when i was listening and then let the attendees change clothes, kick back and put on their favorite tunes to eat, drink and reminisce by.
There will be no funeral. A celebration of life and a boat ride on Lake Winnipesaukee ashes in hand. Born Free being song by family and Friends as my ashes are thrown up into the wind and settling in my beloved lake. Born free as free as the wind blows...
Around and Around Time as I've known it Doesn't take much time to pass by me Minutes into days turn into months turn into years They hurry by me Still I love to see the sun go down And the world go around Dreams full of promises Hopes for the future I've had many Dreams I can't remember now Hopes that I've forgotten Faded memories Still I love to see the sun go down And the world go around And I love to see the morning As it steals across the sky I love to remember And I love to wonder why And I hope that I'm around So I can be there when I die When I'm gone I hope that you will think of me In moments when you're happy And you're smiling That a thought will comfort you On cold and cloudy days If you are crying Still I love to see the sun go down And the world go around And around and around
nice. i agree....why would you want to be put in a air tight sealed box in the ground? Take me too Bethany Beach, De or to Hilton Head, SC and let me run free in the wind and on the beach.....The places i have always found the most happiness, joy and peace in life.
