I'd love to hear just her vocals. Ever see, "The Fifth Element?" She sounds like the alien opera singer. It's one of the best parts of the movie. Highwayman~Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson
Mm, sort of. I want to say I agree, though I can't recall having ever seen The Fifth Element in it's entirety—the result of never being anywhere for more than an hour at a time during that chaotic friend-unit-hopping epoch in the late 90's & early 2000's. There are a number of tracks in which Alison employs here operatic abilities that you may also like: Utopia You Never Know Alison is one of my favourite musical artists. Exceptionally talented & diverse. On a side, on talent & loveable personalities . . .

I’ve never heard of this group/song but the lyrics really make you think, don’t they? Oh, wait. You forgot to add a trigger warning, so I’m going to my designated safe space now to deal with the stimulation of my brain. Sorry, I just had to do it! Seriously, what is the background of this group? Wrapped Around your Finger~The Police
Playpens of play-dough. Kittens & puppies. I'm not entirely sure. I do know that Mer De Noms—translated: sea of names—is an exceptional album, however. One of my favourite albums, in fact. As is their second album 13th Step. Their third album, Emotive, is a cover album which is, mmm, ho hum. They've since remained in a state of hiatus. They're a, dare I say, "supergroup" consisting of, though my knowledge is limited, Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Paz Lenchantin (Pixies), James…something (Smashing Pumpkins), & Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age). Maynard James Keenan is A Perfect Circle's lead vocalist. Maynard is also the lead vocalist of TOOL (you're likely familiar) & Puscifer (or example 2). I love Maynard & everything he touches. Including his wine. His vineyard is down Jerome, Arizona way. Billy Howerdel is the underlying creative force behind A Perfect Circle, & an interesting character, too. Though I know less about Billy. If I remember correctly, Maynard & Billy were roommates earlier in their careers, when both were living in LA. At the time Tool was just beginning to emerge, while Billy was the sound engineer & guitar technician for several highly successful artists & bands, including though not limited to, David Bowie, Faith No More, NIN, & The Smashing Pumpkins. A decade or so later, Billy asked Maynard to sing his band. I think Billy was originally looking for a female lead vocalist, though.
In so far as shared experiences, similar upbringings, backgrounds or circumstance that grant each band member with shared artistic values, a common desired outcome, or a shared cathartic harmony? If so, absolutely. I suppose in a wider sense, the difficulty experienced within a band of randomly chosen musicians is analogous to the reasons why globalization, particularly cultural globalisation, posses so many problems to solve.
No wuckin' furries. Give me an S, S! Give me a P, P! Give me an O, O! Give me an… What do you get, SPOONERISM!!
And here I thought you just liked Ewoks. Edison Project~You’ve Got It Bad But anything by this group really...
The Sandy Denny written, Nina Simone sung, "Who Knows Where the Time Goes". Autumn is pretty and cozy for certain...it can also make one feel one's aloneness more sharply. I'm not as placid about things as the narrator is, but no matter the song is lovely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VUG07PcPF0 Across the evening sky, all the birds are leaving But how can they know it's time for them to go? Before the winter fire, I will still be dreaming I have no thought of time For who knows where the time goes? Who knows where the time goes? Sad, deserted shore, your fickle friends are leaving Ah, but then, you know it's time for them to go But I will still be here, I have no thought of leaving I do not count the time For who knows where the time goes? Who knows where the time goes? And I am not alone while my love is near me I know it will be so until it's time to go So come the storms of winter and then The birds in spring again I have no fear of time For who knows how my love grows? And who knows where the time goes?
