I’m trying to focus on the sweet. I had a visit from my neighbour who is a first time grandma. She had her 5 month old grandson with her. He was such a cutie.

You are right Mel, we should always look on the bright side... Congratulations to your neighbour. Babies are sweet. I love holding them and watching them make funny faces when asleep.
    Have a great weekend everyone

Tonight, in whole Europe, we are changing the clocks by moving them back. That will give us an extra hour of sleep on Sunday.
The moving of the clocks was first introduced during World War One by Germany and Austria, and then by the allies, to save on coal usage. I am not sure if it’s so beneficial these days.
Do you move the clocks where you are as well?

We'll move our clocks back before we go to bed on Saturday, November 4.

Benjamin Franklin gets the credit (or blame) for it here. He thought by moving the clocks ahead one hour in the spring, people could take advantage of an extra hour of daylight at the end of the day and not waste energy on lighting. It wasn't established, though, until 1916 to conserve fuel during World War One. After that war, DST was abolished until the start of WWII. At that time, it became year round until after the war.

I think, at this time, Hawaii and Arizona are the only two states that don't observe DST.

We fall back next weekend. It will be dark by 4:30 pm. Yuck.

When I was going to university we moved from class to class by underground tunnels. The lecture theatres didn't have windows.

We would go to the campus in the dark, go home in the dark. We only saw daylight on the weekends. No wonder I have SAD. I would have made a good vampire, tho.

Chuckling, Pupper. I’ll have whatever you’re having!

This little Limacodidae looks like a walking gummy caterpillar. Could be a Pokemon. I think it’s so cute.

    Pupper, you've been composing again!

Mel, that's fascinating. That little caterpillar looks good enough to eat!

*chuckles… I now have the mental imagery of you, Cheryl, wide-eyed & hugging trees while hallucinating somewhere in the North American or Australian outback.

I'm more inclined to wipe my spear/arrowhead/blowgun dart with the little, bright coloured fellow… between Monday - Thursday: 8:00am. - 7:00pm.

  15. Can't stop laughing. What did the little fella do to you?! Yes, he DOES look edible. He looks like a gummy bear. Lemon always was my favorite...
*please note I realize that said caterpillar may not be male, in the interest of everyone feeling included*

I interrupt the much deserved Pupper love fest to bring you another one of those creatures that fascinates me. There are so many interesting creepy crawlers that I know nothing about.
